A6RMS an aircraft I flew before has tragically crashed
A6RMS is a plane I flew for more than 20 hours in Jazirah Aviation Club (JAC) has tragically crashed Dec 29, 2024 along the shores of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).
My thoughts and prayers goes to the families of the captain and her passenger. Out of respect for their privacy, I will only share details about the aircraft.
My pilot logbook shows 24 trips on A6RMS. It was Aeroprakt A-22LS two-seat, fixed wing, ultralight aircraft. Those 24 trips accounted for 20 hours and 105 landings, as I completed some of my pilot training in this very aircraft at Jazirah Aviation.
My last flight was October 25, 2024 - exactly 2 months prior to the incident. It’s worth noting that I passed my passenger check and earned my pilot license flying A6RMS.
Ending this post with heartfelt condolences to the affected families.
I'll be waiting the GCAA incident report.
